She’s already reportedly turned down advice from Jessica Simpson, but will Rihanna listen to her new friend Katy Perry? Apparently the two have recently become “inseparable” friends and have been out together on girlie nights. (When? Where? Hmmm.)

“Katy was there when Rihanna needed her the most and as terrible as the stuff with Chris is, at least one good thing has come of it,” it’s reported. Although we’ve seen little evidence (so far) of this friendship and Rihanna’s still behaving in a confusing manner after the Chris Brown scandal, surely someone as feisty and strong as La Perry can only be a good addition to the camp? After nearly a month and a half in self-imposed exile following the altercation heard around the world, Rihanna resumed her social life in NYC this weekend, hitting up DaSilvano and The Spotted Pig for dinner with Beyonce and Jay-Z.

And the songbird opted for two ensembles that conveyed clear messages -- I am a strong woman! From the fur jacket that created a strong linebacker-like silhouette on Friday to the military inspired ensemble she selected for Saturday's belated birthday festivities, Rihanna's clothes said what she has been unable to: I only look like the victim.

In the coming weeks, I expect we'll see similar shows of strength through Rihanna's clothes and actions as Chris Brown finally faces the music for his alleged behavior. Welcome back Ri-Ri, we missed you!

Never before has the issue of domestic violence hit so close to home for America's youth as it has in the wake of Chris Brown and Rihanna's altercation.

And while they both stay mum on the matter, several groups are using the opportunity to spread the word about stopping the cycle of abuse.

According to DoSomething.org, one in three teenagers is the victim of domestic violence. And to reinforce that there are ways out, they've produced a PSA recreating Chris and Rihanna's Feb. 8 fight.

Yes, the video [warning: profanities] is hard to watch -- a narrator reads the police report while the altercation is taking place -- But it is important we all learn that anyone can become a victim. And that everyone can stand up an
